Sanitize
Always sanitize yourself and your client before starting any service.

Step 1 - Etch
Using the black portion of the Galaxy© Combo File, etch the nail plate from north to south pushing back the cuticle at the same time.

Step 2 - Dust
Remove all dust and debris from the nail plate.  If dust is left on the nail plate, this will encourage lifting.  Do this by using a nylon manicuring brush.

Step 3 - Balance
One squirt of Galaxy's Balance® before primer disinfects and raises the ph level of the nail plate.

Step 4 - Priming
Using Kym Lee System Primer, remember a little goes a long way.  Draining the excess primer off the brush, then moisten  the nail plate covering entire nail but avoiding contact to the skin.  Allow primer to dry completely.  Without using a blow dryer, fan or light.  These appliances will only cause the primer to evaporate into the air, not allowing it to go through it's full chemical process.

Step 5 - Apply Forms
Apply forms to all 10 fingers by placing the form under the free-edge tightly on both corners.  Lay the form down on the back of the finger, then with one hand squeeze at the stress area and with the other hand, pinch tab ends together.

Step 6 - Re-prime
After the first coat has dried completely apply second coat using the same procedure as before.  This coat must also dry completely before applying product.

Tip: When combining liquid and powder, use a 1 to 1 liquid to powder ratio for white and 2 to 1 for pink, place brush in powder and use circular motions (fig.1).

Step 7 - Apply Product
First, slightly moisten the nail plate using your Kym Lee® System Monomer.  This will increase adhesion.  Use caution around the skin.  Next, Using a dry but pliable consistency, apply the free-edge using the Kym Lee System White Powder in areas 1, 2 & 3 (fig. 2). Pat to shape.  Then apply a small ball of  Kym Lee System Pink Powder at the cuticle area in area 4 (fig. 3).  Pat into place and stroke downward to blend.

The next two balls of pink powder should be placed in areas 5 & 6, between the cuticle ball and the free-edge (fig.3).  Pat the pink balls together then stroke down to blend.

Step 8 - File
Using the gray side of the Kym Lee System Combo File, file the sides and free-edge on all ten nails.  Then shape the top surface being sure to smooth out the cuticle area.

Step 9 - Buff and Oil

Buff the nails using the pink side of the Kym Lee System Combo File, being sure to remove all scratches.  After buffing, re-hydrate your clients cuticles using Galaxy's nourishing Almond Oil.  This will re-hydrate and soften the cuticles.  Next, have client scrub using a stiff pre-sterilized nylon manicure brush to remove all excess oil and debris.

Step 10 - Liquid Glass

Liquid Glass is a plastic sealer that is put over a pink and white nail.  Liquid Glass has UV inhibitors so it works like a sunscreen for the nails.  Liquid Glass may not be used as a base coat or top coat with polish.

Step 11 - Smudge Me Not Top Coat

Add a coat of Galaxy's Smudge Me Not top coat to finish your client beautifully over Liquid Glass or polish.  Smudge Me Not is non-yellowing, dries in under 3 minutes and can be used over Liquid Glass for a flawless finish and prevents the sticky finish caused by sunscreens, hair products, perfumes and other elements.
